Lego Mech
« on: August 17, 2011, 02:14:24 PM »
Many many years ago I made this "internal structure" with some legos.
It can stand on its own, legs and arms can be moved. It has a cockpit and lots of room in the interior for a fusion reactor, heatsinks, ammo and weapons.
The mech itself is not trying to look like any specific asset. And the lack of proper arms is a result of a lack of more good parts.

Oh! Very nice!
I was trying to design one in LDD but they really have limited parts.
I have a hell of a lot of LEGO... maybe too much - but you have to fill a room with something right? ;)
(already filled a room with computers before someone asks)

There's other bricks, but they are usually lego compatible, for obvious reasons . . They often have parts that lego itself does not do.
also, obvious site: http://www.brickcommander.com/

i built an urban mech once, with turnable torso.
i think i still somewhere have a rather flimsy looking madcat <.<
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

There's some pretty groovy Chinese bootleg Lego called enlightenment brick. They make some really mad sets.

Brickcommander is awesome. The special thing about it is, that they use a great design-software. Rebuilding some of their models has been on my list for a very long time now.
But you know how it is: handle two kids, satisfy your wife or spend time with a pc and  MW:LL  - decisions, decisions...  ;)
It's Battletech - not Logitech
